
Yancheng Big Data Industrial Park began construction at the end of 2014 and is one of the earliest regions in China to develop the big data industry. The park has a planned carrier area of 1 million square meters, with 482,100 square meters completed and 200,000 square meters under construction. It includes 48 carrier buildings with a rental rate of 94.6%. Leading enterprises such as Huawei, NetEase, and Baidu have settled in, along with 611 companies in total.
Currently, the park employs 15,400 people, of whom over 90% are young professionals. More than 1,000 hold postgraduate degrees or above, and around 1,500 earn over RMB 200,000 annually. The park provides 300 apartments (18,200 m²) and 17 commercial facilities including restaurants, leisure, and entertainment venues. There are 1,275 parking spaces Accounts Receivable Factoring available both above and underground. The park has been recognized as a provincial 5A-level service industry cluster area for six consecutive years.
It has cultivated 58 national high-tech enterprises and 80 above-scale enterprises; identified 5 provincial “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative (SRDI)” SMEs, 3 provincial gazelle enterprises, 2 municipal gazelle enterprises, and 1 four-star municipal enterprise. The park hosts one national-level incubator and one national-level makerspace, as well as two provincial-level makerspaces. It houses nine enterprise R&D institutions, including provincial engineering technology centers and graduate workstations, and has built two provincial SME public service platforms. The park also supports three provincial SRDI SMEs, and the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications Yancheng Big Data Research Institute is listed as a new-type R&D Working Capital Financing institution.
The park has earned 32 national and provincial honors, including titles such as National Big Data Application Standard Innovation Base, Jiangsu Big Data Industrial Park, and Jiangsu Double Innovation Cross-Border Trade Financing Loan Demonstration Base. It is China’s first National Manufacturing Big Data High-Tech Industrialization Base and Jiangsu Province’s first national-level big data industrial base jointly established by the ministry, province, and city.
